I think everything he wrote is fact.  Cannot agree more. Sent: Tue, February 23, 2010 12:16:36 PM
Fwd: U noe y ur $$ not enough 2 spend as a Malaysian?

Yes, I think they are. What do I get for paying toll everyday? Now I have to pay an extra RM50 for each credit card. For what? Extra GST (goods and services tax). Again, how does that benefit me?

Look at the long list:

I have to pay for security guards because the  police are hopeless.
I have to install filters because the water supply is dirty.
I have to watch satellite tv because the government broadcasts crap.

Many kids have to go for tuition or to private schools because the government schools are bad.
We have to pay IPPs (independent power providers) because the government cannot provide consistent electricity.

We have to pay Indah Water to clean up the sewers.
We have to pay tax on foreign cars because Mahathir wants to keep his dying local car industry alive. ON top of it APs cost bcoz of his cronies.
Most have to drive because the government cannot provide good public transport.

We have to pay to sustain the government’s affirmative action policies.
We have to pay for private health care because the public hospitals are crowded .

All in all, we have to pay a PREMIUM to stay in this country!

1Malaysia Boleh!!!

Same old BullShit!!!

PM: Govt breaking quota system to encourage high calibre youth—blah blah blah- same old Bullshit !!NEP anyone??

KUALA LUMPUR: The quota system and special consideration will no longer be defended in a move to harness global champions.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the philosophy of merely defending the quota system and special consideration must change.

“We will give aid to youths who are willing to work hard to succeed until they become global champions.

“If they are determined, the government will assist them,’’ he said to the cheers of 15,000 youths participating in 1Malaysia rally organised by Barisan Nasional Youth at Stadium Bukit Jalil on Saturday.

Najib said the government would also provide assistance to all citizens in need, regardless of their ethnic background.

Najib also called on the youths not to be fearful in striding forward, as the government would help them overcome obstacles.

“Have no fear, the Barisan Nasional is here,’’ he said, adding the government aim to harness national, regional and global champions.

“Youths are idealistic. They want to do something to make the world a better place.

“They have idealism and energy. We can harness their latent talent to bring about great changes to the country,’’ he said, adding that the government’s approach was to accommodate youths.

Najib said the government also aimed to make Malaysia one of the top five globally competitive nations.

“We now rank among the top 10 on the global competitive index from 18th spot last year.

“We are in a better position than our colonial masters.

“We are also 13 spots higher than Japan,’’ he said, adding no other OIC or NAM nations had made it to the top 10 list.

He also called on the Opposition not to mock Malaysia’s achievements.

“We have achieved global recognition, but the Opposition are in denial,’’ he said.

He also called on opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim not to belittle Malaysia.

“We know what he did,’’ he said.

Najib also pointed out the Malaysia’s growth rate of 10.1% was among the highest in the world, adding that countries like Portugal, Spain and Britain were under economic stress.

Najib also praised Barisan youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin for organising the mammoth gathering of youths.

“There are indications that the youths are no longer anti establishment, they are no longer rejecting the Barisan government.”

At the event, Najib also launched the 1Malaysia Rally bus.

“This bus will carry the image, spirit and symbol of Barisan Nasional and 1Malaysia as it travels around the country,’’ he said.

KUALA LUMPUR: A special task force has been set up to curb illegal online sports betting during World Cup 2010.

The task force, called Penggempur, to be led by federal CID director Comm Datuk Seri Bakri Zinin will closely monitor more than four local syndicates believed to be active in sports betting over the years.

Initial investigation revealed that some of the syndicates were headed by individuals with “Datuk” titles.

Police, said Comm Bakri, were also working closely with Interpol to trace the possible links between local syndicates with international groups.

Other than Interpol, the police were also working closely with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to gather information on Internet gambling.

Action will be taken against those found guilty under the Money Laundering Act and Preventive law.

As for the task force, Comm Bakri said he would be assisted by federal anti-vice and gaming principal assistant director Senior Asst Comm (II) Datuk Hasnan Hassan.

Bakri said the task force had been formed at the district and contingent levels, and would be monitored by the commanding officer of each state.

Separately, Bernama reported that Deputy Home Minister Datuk Lee Chee Leong said action would be taken on betting syndicates under the Open Gaming House Act 1953, Betting Act 1953, Computer Crime Act 1997 and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

“Offences under these Acts carry a maximum five-year prison sentence, and a maximum fine of RM200,000 for the gambler and operator of the gambling machines,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby here.

The public can pass information on gambling activities by contacting Rakan Cop at 03-21159999 and the Bukit Aman MCC Control Room at 03-22663333/3444.
